Bio Capital Investments, L.P.

Since 1990, BioCapital Investments played a leading role in the start-up and development of biotechnology companies in Québec and in Canada. BioCapital's scientific, financial and management expertise was instrumental in growing the biotech industry in Québec. During the 1990's, Biocapital was amongst the most successful Life Sciences venture fund groups in Canada. Stan served as the Chairman, Special Limited partner, and member of the Investment Committee of this fund group.

Biocomm

Biocomm is a business development agency focused on the commercialization of Life Sciences discoveries in Australia. Katan was one of the co-founders of this organization and has been responsible for organizational development and business development of this novel entity. Katan has been instrumental in the development of a capital pool for Biocomm and Stan currently serves as Deputy Chairman of this fund group.

Jerusalem Global Ventures

Jerusalem Global Ventures is a venture capital fund that invests in early stage Israeli related companies developing technology solutions for the consumer, enterprise, service provider and government markets. Jerusalem Global Ventures manages $120 million in capital for investment in exceptional entrepreneurs. Katan maintains a strong relationship with the Fund and worked specifically as an advisor on its Chiasma effort, a portfolio company focused on oral protein drug delivery.

Medical Science Partners

In 1988, Harvard University unveiled plans for Medical Science Partners, a venture capital fund intended to invest in and commercialize faculty biomedical projects. Stan served as an advisor to this fund.

TVM- Techno Ventures Management

TVM Capital, founded in 1983 under the name Techno Venture Management, is one of the first venture capital firms formed in Germany and an early entrant into the US market in 1986. Since inception TVM Capital has raised over € 1.3 billion in six fund generations and has established itself as a leading technology investment group in Europe and the United States. TVM Capital funds have made investments in more than 235 information technology and life science companies where innovation, effective management and sound financial backing have enormous impact on company growth. Stan has worked as a Special Advisor to TVM and Katan maintains on ongoing relationship with the Fund.

Ventana Growth Funds

Ventana Capital Management LLC, is a Venture Capital firm with over 20 years of successful investing experience and over 70 Technology portfolio companies. Based in the Technology Coast of Southern California, Ventana invests in early-stage High Tech and Life Sciences infrastructure companies. Its investors include financial institutions and multinational corporations from around the globe. Stan has worked as a Special Advisor to Ventana and Katan maintains on ongoing relationship with the Funds.
